The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governs how personal data of citizens of the EU must be collected, processed, and erased. In Article 17, the GDPR outlines the specific circumstances under which the right to be forgotten applies. For example the erasure has to be completed if the personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose an organization originally collected or processed it.
Deleting appointments / contacts
In your eTermin account go to Manage Account > Data privacy to define the retention period of appointments and contacts. After that period of time they will automatically get deleted out of the eTermin system.
Note: Deleted appointments won’t be displayed in the customers appointment history nor in the statistics.
Important: This is NOT a legal recommendation. Every organization should take the recommended steps to apply to the GDPR.
Anonymize appointments
You can also anonymize the appointments instead of deleting them. To do that please activate the button: Anonymize appointments instead of deleting.
Internal Logs
eTermin stores information about the e-mail dispatch and the number of accesses on the booking page. This data will be deleted in 30 days. You can decide to reduce the retention period separately.
