There are different methods of managing absences in eTermin. We differentiate between short, longer and reccuring absences and the option to only block certain services for a period of time.
Short absences
You can block eTermin for short absences by going to your calendar and selecting the time you want to block with a left click (until it is dark blue). Afterwards you can make a right click on the dark blue selection and click on block off:
Longer absences
If you want to set a longer absence (for example holidays or sick days) you need to got to calendar > new appointment > block off and select the period of time and the calendar you want to block. You can save your entry by clicking on the orange block off button.
An alternative way to put in absences is in the Dashboard menu under the Abscences tab. The advantage in this case is that the calendar is deactivated, but no block appointment is created for it in the calendar. This makes the calendar clearer.
Recurring absences
If you want to block off a recurring absence you need to got to calendar > new appointment > block off, select the period of time and calendar you want to block and choose the recurrence:
If an absence should be repeated after a certain number of days, use the Absences tab in the Dashboard.
Here, you select the "dynamic" option for the type of absence and specify the cycle in which the absence should be repeated for the number of days.
Example: Every third day there should be no appointments between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Therefore you set that the dynamic absence should always be repeated after three days.
Block off a specific service
You also have the option to only block off a specific service. To do this please go to calendar > new appointment > block off. In this example we want to block off the service A, which is why we select all the other services and click on block off to save the blocker:
