You can set up a repeat rule for a service, so the appointment repeats itself daily or weekly (same weekday, same time frame).
Recurring appointment with Recurrence Rule
Click on the desired service at Company > Services and go to "Advanced Settings". When reaching the option “Repeat rule” click on the question mark-symbol. Open up the mentioned link in your web browser or click here. With the help of this link, you can set up the recurrence rule as you like.
After that, you copy the repeat rule by clicking “Copy to Clipboard” and put it into the service.
Important: For a weekly rule, add the placeholder "SELDAY" to "BYDAY=" (BYDAY=SELDAY). SELDAY is then automatically replaced by the selected day of the week. Please note that recurrence rules cannot be combined with multiple occupancy/multiple capacity.
Manually create a recurring Appointment with a Recurrence Rule
For manual bookings in the appointment calendar or dashboard, it is necessary to enter the recurrence rule manually for each appointment. To do this, please proceed as follows:
Click on the dashboard in the menu on the left and then on the "New Appointment" button, which opens a pop-up window. Here, you enter the start and end time of the appointment, then under "Recurrence" select whether the appointment should be repeated daily, weekly, monthly or annually. "Intervall of the occurrences " specifies whether the appointment is repeated, for example, every week or every 4 weeks. Choose which day of the week the appointment occurs and when the recurrence ends. You can choose between a specific date or after a certain number of recurrences.
Alternatively, click on the desired day and time in the appointment calendar, which opens a pop-up window. Here you enter the start and end time, then under "Recurrence" select whether the appointment should be repeated daily, weekly, monthly or annually. Choose which day of the week the appointment occurs and when the recurrences end. You can choose between a specific date or after a certain number of recurrences.
Note: In the case of a recurring appointment, the appointment booked first is only mirrored. Therefore, there are no separate confirmations or appointment reminders for the follow-up appointments. If the entire appointment series is moved or deleted directly via the eTermin calendar, an email will be sent to the customer and to you as the appointment provider. If you use the synchronization with an external calendar and move or delete the series or an individual appointment of the series, no notification will be sent to the customer or to you.
Reccuring Appointment without Rule
You can also create recurring appointments without a recurrence rule. The initial appointment is actually copied and independent appointments are created for the specified period. There are then separate confirmations and reminders for the customer for each appointment.
To create a recurring appointment without a rule, go to the dashboard. Click the "New Appointment" button and set the start and end time.
For "Recurrence" you can choose between "Daily without rule" or "Weekly without rule". Enter under "Number of appointments to create" how often the appointment should be repeated. Alternatively, you can specify a date when the last appointment should take place. The number of appointments to be created adjusts accordingly.
This option should be used if you use synchronization to an external calendar.
