In eTermin you have the option of importing your previous customer base into eTermin.
By importing contacts, you can also assign login data for your customers if you only want to make your booking page available for certain customers. This is helpful if you want to provide the affected customers with very specific access data. Otherwise, your customers can request access directly via the booking page. You will find more information here.
In order to be able to import your customers, they must be listed in a CSV file. Once the list of your customers has been prepared, you can start importing.
Step 1: Select all contact fields that you have specified in your CSV file. To do this, click on the respective field according to the order of the columns of your file.
You can check below the selection list whether the order is correct.
Example:
In our example, the customers are listed in the order of salutation, last name, first name, zip code and email address.
To ensure that our customers are also imported with the correct data, the desired fields must be clicked in exactly this order.
Step 2: Choose how each column in your spreadsheet is separated. If you created your list with Microsoft Excel, no changes are necessary here.
Here you can also select whether a tag should be assigned to all contacts to be imported. You can find out more about tags and the marketing functions of eTermin here.
Step 3: In this step you can choose whether previous contacts should be deleted. Please note here that by deleting a contact, the previously booked appointments are retained.
If you use the login function on your booking page, you can also select here whether your customers must first change their password in order to be able to access the booking page.
As soon as you have ticked the desired boxes, click on "Select file" and select your CSV file. The import then takes place immediately and the pop-up window closes automatically. Depending on the file size, the import can take a few minutes.
Import contacts with login
If you also want to enter access data for your contacts during the import, then proceed as follows:
In addition to the contact details, you also need a column for the login ID and for the password.
The login ID is the e-mail address with which your customers should log in.
The rest of the import is done as previously described.
After the import, your customers can already log in to your booking page. The other contact fields in step 3 of the appointment booking are already filled in in advance.
Once the import has been completed, you will receive a corresponding confirmation.
In the event of an error, you will also be informed of this. An error can occur if, for example, you want to use the same login ID for several customers or a customer with a login ID appears several times in the list. The error message tells you which row caused the error.
