Each calendar in your eTermin account can be booked independently. With calendar groups you have the possibility to form all your calendars into groups in order to get an overview of the appointments more easily.
This function can be useful if, for example, you manage employees from several locations via one eTermin account.
You can use the calendar groups internally but also display them as such on the booking page.
Calendar Groups for the Internal View:
You can use the calendar groups for the internal overview of appointments in the Dashboard.
To create a new calendar group, go to the Calendar Groups tab in the Dashboard and click on the "Add Calendar Group" button. Here you first assign a name to the group.
In our example, we divide the employee calendars into "Location A" and "Location B" groups. Once the group name has been entered, click on save.
In the next step, select the calendars that should belong to the new calendar group. In our case, for Location A, we add Employee A and Employee C. After saving, we repeat the process for Location B and add Employees B and D.
Once the calendar groups have been created, you can activate the Calendar group view in the day, week and month view, as well as in your own time period and the appointment search.
If the calendar group view is active, you will see all appointments in the calendars that are assigned to the respective calendar group.
The calendar groups can also be displayed and used in the appointment calendar. If you wish to make use of this, please contact us.
Calendar groups for the Online Booking Page:
The calendars can also be divided into groups for the booking page itself.
For example, if 2 employees are available at the same time at the same location, primarily both time slots are listed separately. By using the calendar groups, only the name of the calendar group is displayed on the booking page, and only one time window appears. This appears until the time slot has been booked in both employee calendars. After that it is no longer available online.
To set up the calendar groups for the booking page, go to Company > Calendar > Advanced Settings. Under Calendargroup (Booking Page), enter the name of the calendar group to which the calendar should belong. Repeat this process for all calendars.
Important: The "Description" field under Company > Calendar > General must be left blank for each calendar. Otherwise the calendar groups will not be displayed correctly.
Also, the Show description on booking page option must be set to "Do not show".
Once you have completed the entry, the calendar selection on the booking page will be displayed accordingly. In our example, the selection appears as follows:
If you have any questions or need help with the configuration, please do not hesitate to contact us.
