In order to make the login easier and more secure for your employees who are to access the eTermin account, eTermin has the Single Sign On function, or SSO for short.
The SSO can also be used for appointment bookers if you use a login for your booking site. More about the login for appointment bookers can be found here.
Note: The SSO function is only available for eTermin Enterprise customers. If you want to use the SSO and switch to eTermin Enterprise, please contact us by email.
Prices for the eTermin Enterprise Version are available on request.
SSO for Users
To use the SSO for your users, start in your eTermin account under Manage Account > User Management. Enter the user's e-mail address and tick the option "Create user as Single Sign On (SSO) type". Finally, click on the "Create user" button.
In the course of this, the user and an SSO token are generated, with which the user can log in without a password.
This process must be performed for each user.
Warning: If SSO is activated for a user, they can only log in via SSO. It is then not possible to log in with a user name and password.
As an alternative to creating users directly via the eTermin account, you can create and manage users via the eTermin Rest API via API call. You can then also use the API to query the respective URLs with the tokens for the SSO.
You can then process them further for SSO via your own user management (e.g. Azure, Active Directory, etc.).
To do this, a script must be created for the data transfer to eTermin. The documentation for the programming interface can be found here.
The IDs per user must then be exported from your user management. The IDs can then be created in eTermin as users with SSO. The script can run daily to create or delete new users.
Further information on user management, such as granting authorizations, is available here.
SSO for your Customers/Appointment Bookers
The basic steps for SSO for your customers are the same.
In the first step, the contacts of your customers must be created. To do this, go to the Contacts menu item in your eTermin account and click on "New contact". Fill in the contact with all desired information. In addition, you can also assign authorizations, which means that the customer can only book the services of certain service groups.
As with users, contacts and tokens can also be created and managed via API. You then process the tokens accordingly via your own user management for SSO.
Alternatively, it is also possible to import the contacts into eTermin. You will find more information here.
If you import contacts via an Excel sheet and want to use SSO, an SSO token can be imported as part of this.
